Opening Address- The management committee meeting-2, commenced at 12:55 on Saturday 14^th February 2010 with a welcoming and thanking everyone for participating the meeting by the Chairman.

1. Agendas- The General Secretary presented the Agendas to the meeting. The points discussed on the previews meeting were reviewed. As no major issues have been brought into anyone’s attention, it has been acknowledged that the Handing/Taking over had been successful.

2. Charity Registration: The chairman updated the progress of the charity registration of the community as follows:

* Minimum £5000 annual income.

* Trustees

* Constitutions

* Office bearer

* Office

The charity registration is an ongoing process for gathering further information for eligibility, advantages, and disadvantages.

3. Nepali New Year 2067 celebration The chairman has updated that the most suitable venue: has been booked for 1^st May 2010 as there is no availability on the 8^th May 2010: as previously proposed The booking will be confirmed after paying £100.

• Date- Saturday, 1 may 2010.
• Venue- North Holt community contre.
• Type- BBQ

3a. Food advisor Udav Gurung will arrange the preparation of food. The meeting has been agreed to pay £100 for the food preparation.

3b. Drink- Mr Khamir Jung Gurung has been nominated to arrange the drinks in the similar basis as the lest Dashan Tihar 2066 celebration.

3c. Attendance- the secretary Harka Rai has been nominated to collect the attendance list assisted by the General Secretary.

3d. entertainment The Ladies Group (Ama Toli) led by cultural secretary kamala Gurung will be organising entertainments.

4. Financial Report. The treasure presented the final statement on follows.

• £ 3451.52 Bank balance
• £ 115.27 cash in hand

The bank account authorised signatures is still in progress. Any 2 signatures from- the chairman, treasurer or assistant treasurer will validate the authorisation.

5. Memberhip: The General Secretary presented the membership application process. as:

1. Complete the Membership Application From (downloadable from community website)
2. Confirmation of payment from the Treasurer.
3. Chairman’s signature in the application form.
4. General Secretary updates the membership database based on the complicated form.
5. Member welcome at the next event.

All community members are requested to distribute the new member application form to those who are resided in Burnt Oak area and encourage for becoming a member.

Students are also most welcome to become a member of the community who will be treated as any other members. There will be no exceptional preferences or privileges or what so ever.

6. Community Properties. The meeting has endorsed the paragraph 5.2 and 5.3 of the 3^rd January 2010 meeting’s minutes.

The property hut base has been already constructed in last summer. A wooden hut will be purchased soon by the team consisting Advisor Mohan Gurung, Executive member Ramesh Gurung.

7. Community Website: The community website is due renewed on 20^th February 2010. The GS will submit the invoice to the Treasurer.

10 x email addresses of the management committee member will be added so that they will receive all emails that receives in the address.

8. DVD Advisor, Udai Gurung has handed 100 x DVD’s to the Treasurer and the edited version of midi disc to the General Secretary.

The DVD cost has been set to £5 each. All community members are requested to purchase at least 1 copy compulsorily and the second copy for their guests. Please contact the Treasurer Mr Bishnu Gurung for your DVD.

9. Any Other Business (AOB)

• * Endorsement of our Constituency MP. Andrew Dismore is still discussing amongst the members.
• Musical event- Tribute to legends organised by NRNA UK on Saturday 11^th April 2010 in river mead leisure complex reading tickets are available from the Chairman Lachhya Gurung.
• the Chairman has attened the new ambassor of Nepal for the United Kingdom Dr…. chalise on 6^th February 2010. and presented a khada on behalf of Burnt Oak Nepaese Community- London.
• Request letter to attend as a Mediator/ Dosevent for the hanslow Gurkha community’s AGM on 20^th February 2010.
• Constitution Sample in both English and nepali of lamjung Samaj UK.
• Community member’s achievement- publishing in the community website. A hands on tutorial session well be organised by the General Secretary to the members so that the members will be able to publish the articles at their own convenient time without an involvement of the web master.

The Chairman summed up the meeting as a fruitful. He also thanked to the PR secretary Mr Dinesh Bhusal proprietor of the Everest Restaurant for providing the meeting venue in Free of charge.

The meeting concluded at 1655.
